The newer cleaner "Hyper X" sole on this thing is so much better than the original. It's cleaner, and glides along the turf like a hover craft. VFT--Varibale Face Technology is something Callaway pioneered a long time ago, and it still works extremely well. It makes the entire face pretty hot by variation of thickness at key points. This is a Callaway trademark that just never ceases to deliver the goods in both ball throwing heat, and enlargement of a "Safe Hitting Zone." S2H2 is also an old Callaway trademark. Less weight in the shortened hosel means more perimiter weighting for forgiveess. It also seems to impart, at least in this club, a much more forgiving angle between shaft and club face.
